Introducing Our Surgeon Dr. Kurkjian
At Accent on You, our founding surgeon, Dr. Nakamura has delivered outstanding plastic surgery care, this fall we have been pleased to add a new surgeon on staff, Dr. Kurkjian. Dr. Kurkjian holds a Bachelor of Science from University of Oklahoma, and went on to achieve his medical doctorate at the University of Texas. After his medical doctorate was earned, he went on to specialize in the plastic surgery field as he completed his plastic surgery residency also at the University of Texas. After his residency, he then completed a fellowship in Aesthetic Surgery in New York’s Manhattan Eye, Ear, & Throat Hospital, only to eventually come back to Texas in order to become a Clinical Instructor of Plastic Surgery at the University of Texas where he earned his doctorate and completed his first plastic surgery residency. The extensive educational and hands-on experience that Dr. Kurkjian has enables him to perform a myriad of different plastic surgery procedures, and our clients can have the peace of mind that they are receiving the best possible aesthetic medical services!
Graduating in the top 3% of his class from the University of Texas, he was elected into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society for his achievements. During this time, Dr. Kurkjian also conducted clinical and laboratory research on a number of plastic surgery related elements such as cosmetic lasers, breast reconstruction, liposuction, and abdominoplasty, allowing him to stay in the forefront of budding medical technology having to do with many different plastic surgery procedures.
When Dr. Kurkjian isn’t performing plastic surgery procedures with us at Accent on You, he’s spending time at home with his wife and 11-month-old son, playing golf, or enjoying playing live music with either his guitar or piano. As an avid sports fan, he and his wife also try to take in as many local football games as possible, while enjoying the nightlife that Texas has to offer!
